Pain is a normal symptom resulting from tissue injury and it is our body’s way of letting us know that something is wrong. Acute pain following an injury is usually transient, subsiding as the injury recovers. Less commonly, pain does not resolve, becoming chronic and debilitating. Pain management is a key part of our therapeutic approach. Our therapists are trained in evidence based practice techniques including desensitisation, graded motor imagery, visualisation, mirror box therapy and inter x neurostimulation. We work closely with your GP, pain specialists and other allied health professionals such as exercise therapists as part of a multi-disciplinary team approach.
