Handwriting and fine motor skills do not come easily to all children. Delays in developing these skills can cause difficulties in both the school and home environments and problems with a child’s self esteem.
The occupational therapists at Hands on Hand Therapy provide assessment and intervention for children of all ages.
We can help in the following areas:
- Handwriting – pencil grip, letter formation, messy writing, reversals and much more
- Scissor skills
- Fine motor coordination/clumsiness
- Upper limb strength
- Self care tasks
We work closely with parents early childhood educators, teachers and other Allied Health professionals to develop goal oriented intervention strategies. Assessments can take up to 2 sessions following which goals and individualised intervention programs are then developed.
Therapy can take place in both clinic based and/or school based settings.
